2007 |
|
| The Society has had its most successful season ever, with stunning results at this year’s Festival on Friday 13th April. It was not an unlucky day for us! Of the seven classes, six were won by Epsom, who also took the aggregate trophy. The aggregate prize has been ours in three of the last five years, but such across-the-board success is unprecedented. | |

The Choir with trophies |
| There is no doubt that the main reason for our success, and not just at the Festival, is the leadership of our professionals Robin Kimber and Marion Lea. The fun and the hard work of rehearsing with them were reflected in a day when we did justice to ourselves and to them, surely the mark of a good choir. | |

Following upon the great successes in 2005 the choir won the Full Chorus, Madrigal, Ensemble and Open Classes and were just pipped at the post with the highest aggregate score, coming second this year. |

The banners and salver
|
In 2005, in their division, Epsom won in the categories: Madrigal, Part Song, Women's Song and Full Chorus. Epsom also came second in the Men's Song, and one of the Epsom ensembles came second of the twelve entered (three from each of the four choirs). No surprise then, that these performances put them in first place on aggregate, to win the Julian Armitage Smith Salver. |
